ALBANY, N.Y. — On Thursday, disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was reportedly charged with forcible touching in relation to an incident where he allegedly groped and reached under the blouse of a female associate.

A spokesman for the Albany City Court has confirmed with NBC New York that a misdemeanor complaint has been filed in a “sex crime” case, which alleges Cuomo, a Democrat, to have committed the act at his official residence on Dec. 7 of last year.

The New York Post reports:

A misdemeanor criminal complaint filed in Albany City Court alleges that Cuomo, 63, “did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly place his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim … and onto her intimate body part,”

“Specifically, the victims [sic] left breast for the purposes of degrading and satisfying his sexual desire,” it adds.

The incident allegedly took place on the afternoon of Dec. 7 on the second floor of Albany’s Executive Mansion, the governor’s official residence.

While the name of the alleged victim is redacted in the complaint, details of the allegation line up with those outlined by Brittany Commisso, a former aide to the governor, during an August interview on CBS This Morning.

Cuomo, who resigned his position earlier this year after the release of a damning report by New York Attorney General Letitia James on his sexual misconduct, is expected to be arrested next week, and if convicted, could face up to one year in prison. Additionally, Cuomo will be required to register as a sex offender.
