Mayor de Blasio attacks FDNY firefighters over his own vaccine mandate!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

New York — New York mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Monday that approximately 9,000 workers were being placed on unpaid leave for their refusal to comply with his vaccine mandate. While de Blasio and the mainstream media attempted to downplay the “small number” of employees that were not compliant, he is unable to downplay his actions.

His anti-firefighter actions that is.

In his comments, de Blasio said, “We have every reason to believe that there’s a lot of people out there claiming to be sick who are not. It’s not acceptable.” He continued, “the thing to do is to do the right thing. Come to work. Protect people — as you took an oath to do.”

That’s pretty ironic coming from the man that swore he would protect and serve the citizens of New York, yet has continued to decimate the city at every turn.

He followed up on his comments saying the actions would not be tolerated and that there would be consequences. It had been reported that approximately 2,000 FDNY firefighters were calling out sick over the COVID mandates.

FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro seemed to echo de Blasio’s comments. He said that the sick outs were most certainly due to the COVID vaccine mandates and that the group would be taking action.

United Firefighters Association President Andrew Ansbro said that the firefighter’s absence was justified. He said that firefighters often work hurt and that they were simply documenting injuries prior to being let go by the communist mayor.

While a majority of the employees in New York City’s public sector may have been vaccinated, thousands have chosen not to be vaccinated. A choice that should be theirs to make. Instead, the city is forcing them or they risk losing their jobs.

It seems that many will opt to choose their personal freedom rather than tyranny. The city’s leadership seems more interested in their tyrannical rule than in protecting its own citizens.

If you live in a conservative state and need firefighters and other public servants, now might be a great time to recruit in New York City.
