Dr. Anthony Fauci told a caller back in 2004 that the best vaccination for the flu is becoming infected. But Senator Rand Paul had questions for Fauci and expressed concern over what appeared to be Fauci's changing position on immunology and vaccine efficacy after infection.
Dr. Fauci produced a Reuter's fact-check to discredit Senator Pau;'s claims that Fauci has been inconsistent over the years, but Senator Paul remained unconvinced.
Dr. Fauci became visibly defensive after Senator Paul asked about guidelines for the previous infection as a variable when deciding if vaccination is appropriate for all Americans to prevent COVID disease.
